BARREL 38
Barrel 38 “Washington” is named for George Washington, who after leading the Continental forces to victory against British rule, was compelled to give up the quiet life of a genteel farmer to become the first president of a fledgling country which we now call home. With this barrel, we toast one of the Founding Fathers who set the tone for a nation.

THE BHAKTA 50 COLLECTION
Fifty years at its youngest—and more than one hundred fifty at its oldest—BHAKTA 50, the flagship offering of BHAKTA Spirits, carries a jaw-dropping age statement nearly unimaginable in a market which considers a whiskey “old and rare” at the adolescent age of twelve or thirteen. Only 38 barrels will ever be produced, each a blend of 8 Armagnac vintages spanning from 1868 - 1970, and finished in a Scotch Whisky cask.

THE YEAR 1987
Andy Warhol dies in Manhattan. The Simpsons premieres as a series of shorts on The Tracey Ullman Show. Thirty-eight years of martial law in Taiwan come to an end. Construction of the Channel Tunnel begins in Armagnac’s native France, allowing for speedier brandy export to England. Russian tennis star Maria Sharapova is born; seventeen years later she will infamously meet Raj Peter Bhakta on the set of The Apprentice.
